Toogee Taekwondo after school Program is for pre-schoolers and for primary school aged children.
Pre School children aged 4 and 5 who don't go to 'big' school. Classes are run separtely to the primary school age classes. Lessons are 1 hour duration and aimed at developing co-ordination, motor skills and confidence in youngsters as well as teaching them the basics of Taekondo and Self Defence in a disciplined but fun way.
Primary school age children can apply to enrol in our special after school Taekwondo. Classes will be divided into separate age groups.
Kindy - Year 1
Year 2 - Year 3
Year 4 - Year 6
Lessons are 1 hour duration aimed at the continued development of the youngsters balance and co-ordination as well as building confidence and instilling a sense of discipline. More emphasis is placed on learning the techniques of Toogee Taekwondo and the basics of self defence.
Both the Pre School and Primary School programs provide opportunities for the student to be rewarded for the efforts through our special Junior Ranking system.
Toogee Tots (pre-schoolers) classes are Monday to Friday from 3pm - 4pm, children may be dropped off at the appointed time and picked up promptly at the end of class. Parents are welcome to stay during the class.
Toogee Tigers (primary schoolers) classes are Monday to Friday from 4pm - 5pm children can be dropped of at our training centre at the appointed time and then pick up promptly at the end of the class.
Or for those parents who work or have other committments during the week we can offer our 'long class'.
You can drop your child off after school or we will pick them up (by prior arrangement) the classes run from 4.00pm - 5.00pm with each group allocated a separate Instructor and assistant. Classes finish at 5.00pm and children must be picked up by 6.00pm. For those children staying for the 'long class' we will provide a (healthy) snack and drink apon arrival and time for them to unwind, supervision will be provided between 5pm and 6pm for those children staying on.
